Nature's Fury
An year ago on 16 July 2013, a tragic incident took place in Uttarakhand where hundreds of people died when flood hit the Garwhal region of Uttarakhand. Many people were saved because of the efforts of the Army and Air Force. But think about those who died and it is all because of us but in an indirect way.
In the major cities of India, we are cutting down trees to make buildings as the population is increasing endlessly as far as I can see. People are buying more and more cars which is causing great pollution. People turn on their Air Conditioners even when they can bear the heat.
The Indian Armed Forces helped in the evacuation |
The floods have washed away innocent people and has developed cracks on the 5-7 AD Kedarnath Temple which is very famous. Those who just got saved were very thankful, though some even had to trek the mountains without knowing anything and with scarce food and water to save themselves from this sudden disaster. Those who were just saved are so scared to even take a step to go somewhere out of the house.
The whole India was shocked but what can shock do, we have to change ourselves otherwise nature will always take revenge.
Great and inspiring work Rachit.
